The end of term 2 we have been working on music, technology, and art we got to choose what we were interested in i choose art/ sketching because art is one of my passions once we got a group of people that enjoy art in my group there is ( Jacky, Chanel, LJ, Jesse, Natalia, Patience, Callan, Evan, Roger, Aidan and Ethan) started to think what we should sketch and where should we put it so we were writing our ideas down and finally we had an idea our idea was to sketch drawing for the bathrooms because we thought that there is not enough colour or art.

The start of term 3

we surveyed lc1, lc2 and lc4 to see what art they were interested in 70% of them choose to do things related to Hobsonville point such as Catalina cafe, parks, Hobsonville point primary school and other things related to Hobsonville point. Once we knew what they were interested in we started to say what we were sketching i choose to do the front view of the school (hobsonville point primary school.) because it is part of Hobsonville point.

Getting started

I searched up an image and started to do the main parts of the school ( the building and the stairs) once i sketched the stairs and building i started to think about if i should colour the whole school in or should i just colour in one thing like the plants or the logo. I asked the other people in my group what i should do most of them said that i should colour in just the plants and logo so i went with what most of them said once i knew what i was doing i got a A3 size paper and started to sketch the front view of the school. I used different techniques such as shading, colouring and other techniques you can use.

Progress so far.

Once i completed the main part of the school i started to think how i was going to draw the ramp the ramp is definitely one of my challenges so far because i couldn’t get the lining right so it was wonky. After the 5th try i finally got it right.

And i decided i should add a bit more detail by adding logo and the quote (reach for the sky) so it looks more realistic. The hardest part was to get the proportion right because i either did it to

A few people in our group went to the warehouse to buy the frames for our sketches once we had them we placed them into the frames.

What type of genre is the song?

my highlights 
my highlights were that i did find out what type of genre it was 
it was pop my other highlight was it was it bit easier to recognize  
what instruments were played in the song? because it was a pretty upbeat song.

my next steps

my next step is to try new and different songs to find out what type of genre it is and what instruments played.

square roots

my challenge

last Wednesday i was working on square roots  i had no idea what a square root was so i asked people from my common to see if they knew they told me how to  know square roots so I learnt that you have to times it for e.g. the square root of 25 the answer would be 5 because 5x5=25 my highlight is that now I know how to work out square roots!

GYMNASTICS

gymnastics

last Friday the gymnasts came to teach us about gymnastics


my challenges
my challenge was to do a backflip off a platform
to land a front flip on the the tramp
and to do a cartwheel on the beam without falling

my highlights
my highlights were that i a landed a forward flip
and to land a backflip on the platform and to to a backflip on the ground.


my next steps
my next step is to land a cartwheel on the beam without falling and to try and to a backflip off the ground again.

Immersion music

This morning we were working on how to use garageband i had not used it much but it sounded exciting we paired up with people who had used it properly before.

My challenges 

my challenge was to try and put everything make sense and to have a meaning to it weither it is happy sad or other and because i have not really used it much but now i know more about so i can use it.

My highlights

my highlights are that now i know how to do 

use it properly and i don't need much support.

my next steps 

my next steps are to finish off the garage band thing and to go on it in my spare time to use interesting things on it that can help
